Tigs

Adoption Pending!!! Tigs is one lucky 4 month old girl but she needs a bit more luck! A finder cared enough to feed and trap her when she saw her eye was looking pretty bad. Unfortunately her eye could not be saved so it was removed yesterday. She was spayed at the same time so that she wouldn't have to go through another surgical procedure anytime soon. Tigs needs a quiet place to recover fully. An adopter so that she won't be bounced around. Her finder allowed her to begin recovery at her house but could not keep her long due to her household situation so we found a wonderful foster home! If you cannot adopt - please share so someone can open their home and heart to this little lady.

Casmir

Casmir is a solid boy of about 6 years. He plays hard and sleeps harder. He has a wicked sense of humor, so not recommended for small children, but it's all in good fun! He snuggles with 1 of the dogs and wrestles with Burgle and a smaller dog. Loves to go under throw rugs and pop out at you. Because he likes to be near you he can also be a trip hazard He'll meet you at the door when you get home. Loves playing, bird watching, sleeping, cuddling at night! If you have room in your heart and home you won't regret it!! Every day is a new adventure . Burgle (tux) and Casmir (all black) became best buds once they met. They both would be fine separately in good homes and don't have to be adopted together. They help work out each other's energy but can get a bit rough when together at times! Both boys are very affectionate, lots of fun and get along fine with dogs. They can be a bit of a bully with more timid female cats. Both are very people friendly and love affection and interaction. Both love to sleep in bed with you.

Haley and Soka

Soka and Haley are VERY bonded. These ladies must go to a home together. These poor girls loved their owner, their life, their home. Until one day it turned completely upside down. Their owner, who had tons of foster cats in and out of the house, passed away and these crazy people came in and caught them all and they all went in different directions… Soka and Haley knew they were always there to stay, comfortable and loved. Until they weren’t. They were EXTREMELY fortunate in having a foster step up that would give them time, patience and love to adjust. They used to sleep in bed. They used to know their routine. They are having a tough time adjusting but are making progress. They are still a work in progress and if adopted at this time would need a very understanding adopter with cat experience, a calm and quiet household with adults only, and a room to call their own until they are more comfortable and confident. Once cats like this come around it is an amazing transformation and like nothing you’ve ever experienced. It WON’T happen overnight. Cat savvy adopters only please – but if this sounds like something you could take on to give these girls security and a home for life – you would make a huge difference – please contact Jane Kolyer for more info or fill out an adoption application.

Sabre

Sabre is a bit difficult to catch a good picture since when you call his name or he sees you looking at him he comes to you! He came to the rescue in August of 2022 at about 3 months old, after his mother died, has never been picked by an adopter and has yet to find someone to love! Sabre is a shy boy at first but very sweet and needs a home where he is allowed to take it slow and get adjusted. Sabre is fine with other cats and calm dogs. Loud activity he will travel into another room. He loves to be pet but prefers not to be picked up. His favorite pastime besides bird watching is checking out what you made for YOUR dinner. Once he walks up to you and gazes in your eyes you'll be his for life!

Leia

Leia is a young adult ~ 4 years old. This gorgeous female torti is what torti's are all about! A little sweetness mixed with a little attitude and you have to EARN her trust. Tortis don't just give it away to anyone. She has been moved around a bit lately so will need time to know that she is with you to stay. Patience, love, understanding and time to adjust are all key, but once she is yours she will be yours forever. Good with other cats and best in a low traffic, calmer household with adults only. All cats are neutered/spayed, FIV/FELV tested, up to date on vaccines and microchipped prior to adoption.

Flint

Flint, Marble and Slate are brothers that came into foster in August 2023 at 3 months old. Amazingly after all this time they are STILL searching for their special families to give them a lifetime of love. We truly don't get why they haven't been picked yet. Please help us find these handsome guys a family to love. Although they all love to hang out together – if interested in 2 Slate and Flint are most bonded. They are very deserving of their own special people and permanent loving home. All 3 get along well with the other cats at foster home as well as the calmer resident dogs. Flint is a big boy. His fur is gorgeous and a touch longer than average. He is a mellow guy and would love to find a calmer home where he can explore, play with his chosen person and lounge at his leisure. His favorite spots are in a hammock and on a cat tree – napping! Would he be a good fit in your home? If so apply today!

Noche

Located in NJ Noche is just the sweetest most petite young little guy. He wants to rub on you so much he could almost push you over! He brought himself into rescue. Literally came to our door to be let in. He must have had a family at some point but wasn't microchipped, no one was looking for him, and began eating every night at the colony bowls. He is now fully vetted and ready for his next adventure, a loving family that won't ever let him go. He loves to look out windows and come to bed at night. He gets along with the resident cats and dogs. He needs a family to love him and call his own.

Darla

Darla is stunning – yet she doesn’t know it! She is a domestic long haired girl approx. 7 years young whose caretaker passed away. She can be shy at first, but likes to be pet and get attention on her terms. She will require daily brushing to keep her fur matte free. We don’t know if she doesn’t groom thoroughly due to depression from losing the home she knew or not, but she had a grooming appointment and the amount of hair they had to brush out was unreal! Darla will need time to adjust and proper introductions like a lady deserves. She’s fine with other cats. If you have the patience to give her time to adjust and a little cat savvy to keep her pretty and groomed properly, she will thrive in a calmer environment. If so, she’s your girl!! Please fill out an application to make her part of your family.

Aldine and Misty

Misty and Aldine are extremely bonded. These girls must be adopted together. They have been through quite a bit in their short lives and need to know the other is near. They are approx. 2-3 years old but not siblings. They were brought into foster and stayed together. Their foster mom passed away and after a bit of chaos they were brought into foster with us. They are good with other cats and adjusting to the dogs in the home, but not yet integrated. They are always sleeping side by side. A calm quiet secure environment is key to making these girls thrive in a new forever home. Patience to let them to adjust is a must. Misty used to wait by the door to greet people as they came in on her cat stand. We want to see her confident enough to do that again! Aldine loves windows and bird watching. Misty loves to rub on your hand and get pet, Aldine is still hesitant and allows pets on her back only. Once they are adjusted to a new home they will be able to relax and be the loving girls that once again know they are there to stay.

Burgle

Burgle is about 4 years old and was brought into rescue when he was trying to break INTO houses. No open windows for this guy! He loves toys, bird watching, interactive play. Very affectionate. He will definitely keep you entertained and smiling. He was fine with grammar school and older children.

Pewter

Pewter is a young adult and is fine with other cats and dogs... he likes to be near them but does his own thing! He was brought into rescue at 3 months old (with his brother Sabre, also available to adopt) when his mother was killed. Pewter is fully vetted and ready to adopt to the right family. While he is sweet and affectionate with his foster family, he is painfully shy with new people and situations so he needs a quiet very patient understanding person that will work with him to come around. A calmer household would be best. He was adopted once and returned because he was too shy :( If you're that person that can give him time and patience to show his true personality please apply to adopt this gorgeous boy Pewter today! All cats are neutered/spayed, FIV/FELV tested, up to date on vaccines and microchipped prior to adoption.

Sylvester

Sylvester – my handsome tux! This 3 year old guy has no idea what has happened this past year! He was being fostered and really coming around. Came out to meet the girls feeding when his foster mom was in hospital. After she suddenly passed away I went to help catch the cats in house. He was scared, but even though he did not know me, let me pick him up and put right in carrier even with all the craziness. He went to a temporary foster who did not confine him at first so he went into hiding mode. By the time we found another place for him he had reverted back to being too scared to enjoy the petting he had originally allowed. He is doing much better know, but hesitant to trust. Once he does he’s a very loving boy and the purrs are your first reward. He LOVES meeting other cats and is very curious about dogs at his foster home although not integrated yet. I truly have a soft spot for this guy. He wants to be comfortable enough to get the attention he craves but needs time to feel secure. He would be best in an adult household and a calmer environment. His new person needs the patience to let him adjust slowly and I am certain he will be a wonderful companion if given the right tools to succeed. I would be here to help guide you through the adjustment process. We want all animals and pet owners to be happy

Slate

Flint, Marble and Slate are brothers that came into foster in August 2023 at 3 months old. Amazingly after all this time they are STILL searching for their special families to give them a lifetime of love. We truly don't get why they haven't been picked yet. Please help us find these handsome guys a family to love. Although they all love to hang out together – if interested in 2 Slate and Flint are most bonded. They are very deserving of their own special people and permanent loving home. All 3 get along well with the other cats at foster home as well as the calmer resident dogs. Slate is the most curious of the boys. It's a mystery why he was adopted and returned for not adjusting and no one has picked him for their own yet! Possibly he missed his brothers… He craves someone to love that will give him attention. His gray coat is stunning, and he gives the best hugs! He wants a home where he is able to explore at his own pace in the beginning, but once he feels comfortable, he will know every inch of his surroundings! He loves attention and to play. He would love a cat tree and family to call his own! This cuddly boy needs a forever home. Please help us find it for him.

Diamond

Diamond is such a sweet girl that raised her 3 boys admirably. She was a young mom about 18 months old and smart enough to find help to get her boys to safety. Now her job is done. She is approx 2 years old and so deserving of the best of homes. Diamond loves to be petted and lavished with attention. Not a huge fan of being picked up or toys, but loves to be near you. She appreciates a quieter place and loves to have a perch to observe all around her. She has a big purr and gorgeous eyes that let you know how much she appreciates being with you. She'll be a little shy at first but given time will love you always She gets along with other mellow cats and is used to calmer dogs.

Haze

Haze is another new addition! He is about a year old and super friendly. Just came in Monday night, extremely dirty and had fleas. He eats a ton at the colony and has been there all times of night and day. Happily he is now vetted, inside, safe and getting rid of the outside filth! He no longer has to worry about the other cats attacking him and sharing food with raccoons and opposums. He's so happy I couldn't get him out of food bowl for great picture!
